The Ollivier Field
et du coq
New poultry farm

GAEC Le Champ des Ollivier inaugurates its poultry farm, taking its business to a new level. Specialized in poultry farming, it also has more than 300 ewes, many of which are labeled Agneaux de Sisteron, a guarantee of quality and local roots. The farm covers 62 hectares in Aubessagne.

At the heart of this inaugural day was the broiler poultry workshop, with an annual production of 8,000 birds spread over five 200 m² hen houses. Raised, slaughtered, butchered and prepared on site, these products are marketed in a short circuit, notably to school caterers in the Champsaur region.

Based on a diversified, complementary system, the GAEC stands out for its control of the entire production chain, a model that illustrates the changes and ambitions of local agriculture focused on quality and proximity.

Le Montagnard des Alpes
Inauguration of a new cutting room in Gap

SICA Le Montagnard des Alpes has inaugurated a new cutting room in Gap, marking a decisive step for the future of the Hautes-Alpes pork industry. Located in the immediate vicinity of the slaughterhouse, this facility strengthens the local capacity for processing and marketing pork meats, destined for butchers, delicatessens and cured meats producers in the Hautes-Alpes and throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
Through this strategic investment, the breeders intend to consolidate local, structured and sustainable production, creating value for the region.

Founded in 1948 in response to post-war shortages, SICA Le Montagnard has become a key player in the Alpine pork industry.

A pioneer in the collective organization of production, slaughtering and marketing, today it remains the only pork producer organization in the Hautes-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions.

FAVORITES
The submersible bridge
Chanteloube, the story of an unfinished railroad line.

1910 saw the start of construction of a railroad line linking Grenoble to Barcelonnette, incorporating the magnificent Chanteloube Viaduct. 1934, end of construction. The line is abandoned in favor of the Veynes-Briançon line.
Since the opening of the Serre-Ponçon lake, this 230m long and 61m high bridge plunges into the waters of the large Serre-Ponçon lake. Serre-Ponçon once it reaches côte 772.

In winter, you can cross it with dry feet. From spring onwards, young and old alike enjoy themselves under the watchful eyes of skiers. As for the paddlers, they sometimes pass below, sometimes above.

Little Champions Trophy
Hautes-Alpes welcomes young field hockey players from all over Europe

For the 34th edition, the Trophée Bauer des Petits Champions, Europe’s biggest minor field hockey gathering, will be held from April 17 to 19, 2026.
For 3 days, the Briançon, Gap and Orcières Merlette 1850 will bring together over 400 field hockey players from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium and, of course, France.
The 3-on-3 format on a third of the rink encourages action and technical play. In the face of such a spectacle, don’t hesitate to pass through the doors of the Hautes-Alpes rinks to witness Europe’s biggest gathering of minor field hockey.

Le Grand Béal
100% natural ski mountaineering

At the end of each winter season, the Grand Béal offers a wild race in an exceptional mountain environment.
See you on April 5 at Arvieux in the Queyras!
For its 34th edition, a new course has been added to the program: Course D, for Discovery. It is open to all holders of a daily discovery license, and does not require a medical certificate. This new course’s low gradient will not prevent it from being convivial and festive.
The traditional routes are still the order of the day:
the C, a panoramic, safe route for occasional skiers
the B, more technical and alpine
the A, in pairs, longer and more technical with maneuvers and crampons.
After the effort, the comfort: at the end of the races, meals composed of local products are offered to the participants. A great way to extend the conviviality of the field, thanks in particular to our highly motivated teams of volunteers.

The venue is Serre Chevalierthe largest resort in the Southern Alps, and in Montgenèvrethe doyenne of French resorts, where riders will take to the skies, their trajectories intersecting against a backdrop of majestic peaks.
Briançonthe citadel of stone, will be the vibrant epicenter. Its Fort des Têtes, aUNESCO World Heritage Site, will be transformed into an Olympic village: a crossroads of cultures, a logistical hub, a forge of energy.
