This tour offers visitors the chance to admire the beautiful, traditional houses of the Upper Town and to gain an understanding of this practical architecture, which is tied to a way of life adapted to the seasons and agricultural work.
Built of stone and wood, Névache’s rural architecture is typical: the layout of the spaces, the use of larch to construct the famous “chapis,” and the placement of dates and marks. In addition to the beautiful houses in Ville Haute, we’ll also explore the bread oven and a few sundials.
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes or a little longer.
