The Development Agency

Role and missions

The Hautes-Alpes Development Agency (ADDET), established in 2015, brings together public and private stakeholders around a clear goal: to promote the region. It works across the sectors of the economy, tourism, and agriculture—the three pillars that shape the identity of the Hautes-Alpes.
Over the past ten years, the Agency has supported profound changes—including sector diversification, local innovations, and the promotion of tourism—while highlighting what makes the department unique: exceptional natural beauty, recognized expertise, and an enviable quality of life.

Departmental tourism development plan

On June 23, 2026, the Hautes-Alpes Departmental Council unanimously adopted a new Departmental Tourism Development Plan.

The stakes are high in a department like ours, where tourism employs one in three workers, accounts for 26% of GDP, and has a very strong spillover effect on other economic sectors.
