In the Hautes-Alpes, when the powdery peaks flirt with the first stirrings of summer, there’s one event that gets an entire region moving to the rhythm of adrenaline and conviviality: the Outdoormix Festival. In Embrun, between lake and mountains, this adventure-focused event has become much more than just a sporting event – it’s become a veritable manifesto of outdoor culture.

The origins

A few enthusiasts driven by a simple idea: to bring together outdoor disciplines in the same space, to break down the barriers between practices, and to create links between enlightened enthusiasts and curious visitors. Today, the challenge has been met. Outdoormix has established itself as the largest gathering of outdoor sports enthusiasts in Europe. In 2025, 145,000 visitors enjoyed the event.

International influence

Set in an exceptional natural setting in Embrun, close to the lake, Outdoormix brings together hundreds of international athletes representing over 20 nations, as well as numerous artists and brands involved in the outdoor, wellness and lifestyle worlds. This unique mix of audiences and players helps to create a dynamic and convivial atmosphere, conducive to exchange, discovery and sharing.

Longboarding, rock-climbing, BMX, pumpfoil, trickline, wingfoil, pumptrack, stand-up paddle, waterline… disciplines interact and intersect. Far from a purely competitive spirit, the festival promotes an open approach, where performance meets experimentation. For spectators, the mastery of the riders impresses and inspires. In the evening, the eclectic program of concerts ensures a mix of genres, generations and cultures.
