Furfande Refuge
The Furfande refuge is located on the GR 58 (tour of Queyras) and on the GR5. It is an old alpine chalet which has been recently renovated. You will find a certain charm in addition to a great comfort and a warm welcome.
Its location is exceptional: on the south side, the light spreads generously.
High in altitude (2300 m), overhanging the Guil, the view goes very far on the wide horizon. When you arrive at the refuge, the immediate environment provides the calm of its vast meadow where an infinite variety of flowers blossom in spring. Cows and heifers graze peacefully in summer to the rhythm of the bells hanging from their necks. To the east, the dolomitic crest of Croseras contrasts by its verticality, appreciated by experienced climbers and… chamois. Ideas for hikes from the refuge: the Pic du Gazon, the Lauzet lakes by the Col Garnier, the Col Saint-Antoine…
If you hike independently, you can also settle down near the refuge to enjoy a hot shower, and even fill up with energy with our home cooking.
