Vitality and the desire to share are the hallmarks of this quintet, born in the jazz class of the Conservato i re d 'Aix-en-Provence. A skilful blend of experience and passion, this group brings together jazz enthusiasts from the 1920s and 1930s. Their repertoire is a blend of unjustly forgotten pieces, interpreted in original arrangements, and timeless standards that have spanned the century. Merlin (tenor saxophone and vocals), Marcel Teton (banjo and violin), José Doutre (drums) and Elise Sut (tuba), the group transmits the joyful melodies and syncopated rhythms of the heyday of jazz with energy and flair. A tribute to the small New Orleans and Swing bands to delight curious ears and get the legs tingling!

For this concert, Les Suricates invite pianist Maryline Ferrero. Trained at the Conservatoire d'Aix-en-Provence, she performs with the Solar Quartet and LMN trio on stages throughout the region and beyond.

Her light, musical style, her energy and her pleasure in playing, which shines through on stage, are sure to delight audiences.

Singer Coline Fourment leaves her personal projects and Big Band 13 to join Les Suricates for a concert. Her warm, expressive voice, inspired musical skat and natural stage presence will win you over. A twirling evening!
