It’s a big day of celebration in Guillestre! A festive atmosphere blending traditions and a variety of entertainment: street skiing, performances, fireworks, lanterns, and a concert! From the early morning wake-up call by the Lyre des Alpes to the evening dance at Place Salva…
The town festival kicks off with a bang first thing in the morning! All across Guillestre, the Lyre des Alpes brass band is sure to wake you up with a smile!
4:30 PM: Place Albert – Sign up for the zany "Street Ski" race (commentated by two improv theater pros), so we don’t forget that skiing is fantastic! Skis will be provided, and if you have boots, be sure to bring them.
7:00 PM: Technical Stage – Theater performance "League and Legend" by Cie 15ft6. Duration: 40 min. Ages 3 and up. Fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee. His fists cannot touch what his eyes cannot see.
9:00 PM: Departure from the fairgrounds parking lot – Lantern-lit procession with music by the Lyre des Alpes
10 PM: Fireworks CANCELLED
10:15 PM: Place Salva – Dance party with the band "Space Piero and The Tutti Funky," a psychedelic funk-rock group featuring brass instruments, hailing from the Hautes-Alpes.
