Festival Musiqueyras – Thursday, July 24, 2025
The Musi'Queyras Festival looks forward to seeing you in Abriès-Ristolas for its 33rd edition, full of world music!
The festivities continue at the espace guinguette in Abriès.
On the program for this Thursday, July 23:
4:30 pm – La Mâle
La Mâle is a multi-talented artist: rapper, singer, actress, dancer. She crosses states. Ready to face the elements, the spasms of her body give way to her vocal cords. She speaks from the gut, and from rage too. Nature and the elements run through her texts: water for what overflows, fire for what burns, earth for what holds, air for what's missing. Words rub against each other, collide, repeat and break. The writing is incisive, raw, crunching with metaphor. La Mâle raps and sings her lyrics, which are committed, sororal and powerful. She explores the intimate as a starting point to bring out universal issues such as feminism, and reinforces the empowerment of each individual in the face of situations of injustice and domination.
6pm – Levantiko
Levantiko, a group from Marseilles, brings back to life, thanks to electro sounds, the rich hours of popular songs from Greece and Turkey in the last century. They have created the Rebéti'pop style, where remixes of Greek rebetiko standards rub shoulders with Anatolian psychedelia and laïko variety.
On stage, three experienced musicians and singers perform a succession of festive, danceable tracks, accompanied by original electro arrangements.
The Greek and Turkish languages blend with relish in this frenzied oriental groove, both raw and sophisticated. It's all about unhappy or divine loves, ancient dreams, alcoholic passions, lit cigarettes, hookahs in prison, even shiploads of hashish… Far from retro kitsch, Levantiko's music offers a joyful nostalgia transcended by dancing together, where differences fade away and the senses exult.
To serve this radiant Aegean salad of a new kind:
Perline Feurtey on flute, sylphyo (electronic wind instrument) and vocals,
Antoine Gonot on bouzouki, electro arrangements and vocals,
Jérôme Gracchus on lead vocals and percussion,
