The commune of Montgenèvre is delighted to be hosting the 2026 National Congress of the Gardes Champêtres de France on 11 April 2026, and for the first time in the Hautes-Alpes.
At the close of this annual national event, the Fédération Nationale des Gardes Champêtres de France, in partnership with the host commune, is organising a public parade through the streets of the village as part of its traditional protocol. Exceptionally, this parade will be accompanied by a detachment of the Municipal Guard band from Nice (06). The parade will include a salute to the colours, the passing of the Federal flag bearer and the traditional laying of a wreath of remembrance at the war memorial.
