Laureate of the UNESCO Mont Viso Biosphere Reserve + "Valeur Parc Naturel Régional" label, La Monta base camp, also known as Camping du Chardonnet, Camping de Ristolas or Camping de la Monta, is located in the Hautes-Alpes (France), at the bottom of the eastern Queyras valley (1755 m), in the commune of Abriès-Ristolas, at the foot of the Ristolas-Mont Viso nature reserve, through which the GR 58 runs.
Here, from mid-May to mid-September, you'll find all the essential services you need (bakery, local produce, laundry, library, social life, etc.), as well as the supplies you need for walkers and backpackers on tour. All in 00 waste!
