What is CSR?

CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility. The term refers to taking into account the environmental and social impact of a company’s activities. CSR is seen as a set of best practices that can be continuously improved.

The benefits of CSR

Implementing a CSR approach has several advantages for a company. It enables the company togain access to markets where it is required. It enhances the company’s brand image to attract and retain customers and talent. It impacts on the company’s ability to anticipate future regulations, the economic context and societal demands. Finally, it places the company in a position of responsibility and permanent innovation, and enhances its overall performance.

The objective ofa CSR Hautes-Alpes

Organize on a departmental scale and broaden the scope of CSR.

On January 8, 2026, some twenty of the department’s professional organizations (consular chambers, federations, unions, representative bodies, etc.) signed the Hautes-Alpes CSR Charter. This charter formalizes a shared desire to mobilize public and private players around a development model that meets our social, economic, environmental and governance challenges.

The signing of this charter marks our commitment to a shared vision in which the development of mountain territories is combined with social inclusion, ecological transition, economic dynamism and collective governance.
