Construction

The driving force behind major projects

In a rapidly changing département, construction is one of the most dynamic sectors. The Hautes-Alpes ‘ construction and public works companies are the second most important sector in terms of employment, after tourism, and enjoy a high level of expertise and recognition. Hosting the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the need to adapt the housing market are tomorrow’s major challenges.

Housing,
a regional issue

Real estate pressure also calls for appropriate solutions. The “Assises du logement” (Housing Conferences) organized in the département opened a dialogue between elected representatives, professionals and residents. The aim is to accelerate the production of housing accessible to young working people and seasonal workers, while ensuring the necessary energy renovation of certain properties.

DR

Towards a more responsible

The industry is not just about events, but also about social responsibility(CSR Hautes-Alpes). Local players are increasing the energy efficiency of their buildings, promoting the use of sustainable materials and integrating social issues into their worksites. The aim is to make the Hautes-Alpes construction industry a showcase for ecological transition and quality of life.

Olympic projects

The 2030 Winter Olympics represent a major lever for business. The infrastructure component includes the modernization of road and rail networks, which is essential for resort access and sustainable mobility. À Briançonthe conversion of the Fort des Têtes into an Olympic village illustrates the scale of investment and the region’s ability to combine heritage, modernity and legacy.
