Opening of the 4* Garrigae La Caserne hotel in Briançon

On December 5, 2025, the former 19th-century military barracks in Briançon reopened as a 4-star hotel by Garrigae (Noemys Group). Called Caserne de Briançon, the address blends heritage grandeur with contemporary elegance. In the “15/9” district (named after the former regiment), its 83 rooms will become a base camp, a stone’s throw from the historic lanes and the Prorel ski lifts.

On the service side: a 100-cover bistronomic restaurant, an ode to Alpine terroir, and a Cinq Mondes spa with hammam, sauna, Nordic baths and swimming pool, to regenerate body and mind. In the attic, seminars and spiritual retreats will breathe life into new projects. A flamboyant renaissance at the crossroads of history, luxury and summits.

Opening of the 4* MMV Le Serra Neva residence

In La Salle-les-Alpes, the countdown is on: on December 20, 2025, the MMV Group will unveil its new 4* residence-club, Serra Neva. Located just a few steps from the Pontillas gondola, this address promises to combine top-of-the-range comfort with the excitement of a lively holiday. With 164 modular apartments, it’s the ideal base camp for families and ski tribes.

But Serra Neva isn’t just a cosy roof over your head: there’s an integrated ski shop, kids’ and teens’ clubs, daily entertainment… and, the icing on the cake, a wellness area worthy of the finest resorts, with a heated pool facing the peaks, spa, sauna and treatments. More than just a place to stay, it’s an art of living designed with tomorrow in mind, thanks to an eco-responsible design featuring wood-fired heating, photovoltaic panels, a green roof and nesting boxes.

Opening of the intimate 4* hotel La Maison des drapiers

In the heart of Briançon’s Cité Vauban, a new page is being turned for the former Aristide Albert library, built in 1883. In December 2025, its walls, steeped in history, will open onto a new chapter: La Maison des Drapiers, an intimate 4* hotel designed by The Social Club. Behind the facades, architect Nathalie d’Artigues has designed a refined refuge, blending Alpine warmth with timeless elegance. Just ten rooms, including two suites, create a hushed, almost confidential atmosphere. The 70-seat restaurant celebrates the seasons and local produce, while the Le Boudoir wellness area promises massages and saunas. A vibrant tribute to the drapers of yesteryear, this place will combine heritage and modernity.

Opening of BodyGo Hostel

In Briançon, starting in December, the BodyGo Hostel will open its doors at the foot of the Prorel gondola, a stone’s throw from the slopes. Designed for families and solo adventurers alike, the hostel promises an accessible and vibrant experience. On the program: 44 beds in dormitories, a room adapted for disabled people and a shared kitchen to experience the mountains in complete autonomy, from breakfast to full board. But the real heart of the auberge will be La Chaumière, a Pub & Food Market open to all, where you can savour homemade dishes, raise a glass and linger over games and discussions. With prices starting from €25, the hostel has a clear ambition: to democratize the spirit of community, warmth and modernity.

Opening of theAbriès Hôtel

In the heart of the Queyras Regional Nature Park, the Abriès Hôtel welcomed its first guests this year, with a dozen rooms already available. Its expansion continues: in December, the establishment will unveil its 25 spacious rooms, capable of accommodating up to 75 guests. Couples in search of a cocoon, families eager for fresh air or groups of hikers will find refuge here. But the experience doesn’t end at night: the sauna, massages, Norwegian bath and weight room promise a refreshing break after a day on the slopes. As for conviviality, the Refuge table and the armchairs in the La Lauze lounge bar prolong the mountain spirit. Ideally located at the crossroads of major itineraries, the Abriès Hôtel is already dreaming of becoming the new beacon of the Queyras, combining modernity, authenticity and Alpine warmth.
