Gîte du Junchier
A mountain holiday cottage in a peaceful, rural setting at an altitude of 700 metres, converted some twenty years ago from half of a large old farmhouse. The village of Orpierre, 4 km away, is internationally renowned for its rock-climbing site.
The house is on two levels, with the ground floor comprising: a spacious, bright and well-equipped kitchen, with a large dining table.
A large living area with sofas, armchairs and a table with chairs, as well as books for adults and children, comics and board games.
Two bedrooms, a shower room and a separate toilet.
Upstairs: two bedrooms, one of which is open-plan with no door, and a shower room with a toilet.
A pleasant terrace for mornings and evenings, with garden furniture and sun loungers.
Please note that the property is not accessible to people with reduced mobility, as there are three steps to enter the gîte and then to reach the kitchen, and a flight of stairs to go upstairs. There are also two steps to access the toilet and one of the ground-floor bedrooms.
The house is semi-detached from a farm run by a young couple who are organic market gardeners with two young children; there are chickens and a dog.
There is no enclosed garden, but plenty of space all around.
