Every summer, L\u2019Argenti\u00e8re-La Bess\u00e9e<\/strong> shifts into \u201cvertical\u201d mode. For nearly a week, the small town of \u00c9crins<\/a><\/strong> becomes a gathering place for climbers from all over the world. International competitions, high-level contests, introductory sessions, and lively evening events: Tout \u00e0 Bloc<\/strong> brings together everything that defines the Hautes-Alpes, where amateurs and champions share the same holds. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

All on the same line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the foot of the \u00c9crins peaks, the Tout \u00e0 Bloc has long since moved beyond the realm of competition to become a true meeting place for climbing culture<\/strong>. Every summer, the festival brings together the best that climbing has to offer: passionate climbers, boulders that heat up under crash pads, electric finals and a unique atmosphere where champions meet weekend climbers over a beer and a crumpled topo. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A varied program<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For several days, the village comes alive with the rhythm of the contests\u2014from open qualifiers to international finals where the best boulderers put on a show. But TAB also features introductory sessions<\/strong> to discover rock climbing, workshops<\/strong>, activities for kids, film screenings<\/strong>, and festive evenings just as the Hautes-Alpes know how to do them. It\u2019s a festival where people come as much to climb as to reconnect with the spirit of the climbing community. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Back to the rock<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

And then there’s the rock. It’s impossible to talk about Tout \u00e0 Bloc without mentioning theAilefroide<\/strong> cliffs surrounding L’Argenti\u00e8re-La Bess\u00e9e. High-altitude routes, ruts carved out of the limestone, bouldering sectors lost in the larches: climbing leaves the structures to rediscover the mineral and its natural lines. An immersion in the discipline’s original environment, where the relationship between gesture and place takes on a whole new dimension. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
