The mountain all to yourself<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cols r\u00e9serv\u00e9s<\/strong> operation invites cycling <\/a>enthusiasts and amateurs alike<\/strong> to enjoy a unique mountain experience. For a few hours, some of the most emblematic roads in the Hautes-Alpes<\/strong> will be closed to motorized traffic<\/strong> and entirely dedicated to cyclists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an exceptional natural setting, everyone can climb mythical<\/strong> or little-known passes<\/strong> in complete safety, at their own pace and with no restrictions. Whether you come for the sporting challenge<\/strong>, the pleasure of riding<\/strong> or simply to enjoy the scenery<\/strong>, these events offer a different, friendly way of exploring the mountains. <\/p>\n\n

A mainstay of Hautes-Alpes cycle tourism for almost 30 years, the Cols r\u00e9serv\u00e9s operation, initiated in 1997 by the Hautes-Alpes department, is run in coordination with the Development Agency and the region’s tourist offices.<\/p>\n\n

Cols r\u00e9serv\u00e9s are open to all, free of charge and with no registration required. The atmosphere is friendly, sometimes lively and gourmet (with refreshments of local produce), always convivial. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Grand Cols Tour<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Organized by the Hautes Vall\u00e9es, Serre Chevalier and Guillestrois-Queyras tourist offices, the Tourn\u00e9e des Grands Cols<\/strong> offers a unique experience: a series of legendary Hautes-Alpes passes over a short period of time. Scheduled at short intervals, these events give cyclists the chance to take up a real challenge, by successively covering some of the department’s most beautiful peaks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Galibier to the Izoard, via the Granon, everyone can organize their own route and experience several exceptional climbs, in ideal conditions, without motorized traffic. A rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of the great Alpine passes. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Avant Tour Challenge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ride in the footsteps of the greats! For the F\u00eate du Tour<\/strong> on May 30 and 31, 2026, the Col du Noyer and the Ascent d’Orci\u00e8res link up to offer cyclists a unique experience at the heart of the routes that will be taken by the Tour de France riders in July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over two days, take up the challenge of these emblematic climbs and experience the thrill of the Tour before its time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join the “Challenge Avant Tour” on Strava and be among the top 20 finishers in Orci\u00e8res. A special Tour de France 2026 Hautes-Alpes cycling jersey is at stake. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
