An attractive sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hautes-Alpes has one of the highest rates of doctors per inhabitant in France. This is due to the attractiveness of the region<\/strong> as a place to live, and the high level of tourism in a department that welcomes over 5 million visitors a year. The d\u00e9partement has embarked on a proactive policy<\/strong> to attract young professionals in the healthcare sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highest medical densities <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Hautes-Alpes boasts a density of GPs above the national average. According to Insee, the department has around 291 GPs per 100,000 inhabitants<\/strong> (2023) – a ratio that places it among the best-endowed regions in France. However, behind this encouraging figure lies a challenge: spatial distribution<\/strong>. Some rural and mountain areas still suffer from limited access, particularly to specialist care, and uneven territorial coverage. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The challenge of specialization<\/strong>and permanence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to basic healthcare, the d\u00e9partement needs to attract specialist practitioners <\/strong>(dentists, cardiologists, neurologists, radiologists, etc.). The “Attractivit\u00e9 sant\u00e9”<\/strong> strategy aims to strengthen the hospital and ambulatory care offer in these sectors, by supporting the establishment of practices, promoting territorial cooperation (rural hospital\/central hospital), and assisting professionals in their installation (housing, financial aid, digital facilities). <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A coordinated approach<\/strong>“Mon Avenir \u00e0 Pr\u00e9sent” (My Future Now)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With Mon avenir \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent<\/a><\/strong>the Hautes-Alpes is focusing on a simple strategy: making it easier for new workers to settle in the region over the long term. The scheme offers practical support to people choosing to settle in the d\u00e9partement, whether they are young graduates, families undergoing retraining or already experienced professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While all sectors are concerned (construction, education, public works, services, etc.), particular attention is being paid to the health professions. The challenge is clear: to meet the growing need for doctors, dentists and specialists in the Hautes-Alpes<\/strong>. To this end, a one-stop shop dedicated to healthcare, in partnership with the ARS, centralizes information and services: administrative procedures, mobility, internship offers, training opportunities and logistical assistance. The aim is to create a fluid and attractive career path, capable of retaining healthcare professionals over the long term.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
