This summer, the Festival de Chaillol<\/strong> celebrates its 30th<\/sup> edition with the same ambition: to bring today’s music into dialogue with Alpine heritage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For three decades, this unique event has transformed churches, chapels, castles and village squares into stages open to contemporary creation, world music, jazz and improvised forms.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

True to its spirit of itinerancy, the festival will take over the entire Champsaur Valgaudemar region and beyond, from July 17 to August 9, 2026<\/strong>, inviting the public to experience music as a sensitive experience, as close as possible to the places and artists.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When the first light of morning caresses the peaks of the Hautes-Alpes<\/strong>, the giants of the road awaken to an almost unreal silence. No more engines, no more traffic: only the breath of cyclists and the sound of wheels biting the asphalt. Welcome to the Cols R\u00e9serv\u00e9s<\/strong>, an operation that over the years has become a veritable rendezvous for cycling enthusiasts. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For a few mornings, the legendary passes of the Alps are given over entirely to cycling enthusiasts. Galibier, Izoard, Agnel, Granon<\/strong>… names that resonate like legends in the history of cycling. On these roads, everyone can slip into the shoes of the heroes of the Tour de France<\/strong> and take on these monuments to cycling, in exceptional conditions, far from the din of the engines. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On May 30 and 31, 2026, cycling enthusiasts will have the opportunity to tackle two legendary climbs in the Hautes-Alpes: the Col du Noyer<\/strong> and the ascent to Orci\u00e8res Merlette 1850<\/strong>. Two legendary routes, made famous by the Tour de France for their beauty and sporting standards, will be closed to motorized traffic for the occasion, and the Challenge Avant Tour <\/strong>will follow the official route of the Tour de France 2026, offering an immersive experience before the professional riders take to the road on July 23. The event is accessible on Strava.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Tourn\u00e9e des Grands Cols<\/strong>: five days, five legendary passes to climb. The Guillestrois-Queyras, Hautes Vall\u00e9es and Serre Chevalier tourist offices are offering cyclists the chance to take part in the Tourn\u00e9e des Grands Cols, from June 29 to July 3. On the program: five legendary passes(Agnel, Izoard, Granon, Galibier, \u00c9chelle<\/strong>) reserved in succession for cyclists. Each stage will be punctuated by local heritage events and tastings of local produce. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Attention whitewater and thrill-seekers: the Brian\u00e7on Family Kayak (BFK)<\/strong> is set to rock the Hautes-Alpes for what promises to be a historic event. From May 22 to 25, 2026<\/strong>, thewhitewater<\/a> stadium at L’Argenti\u00e8re-La Bess\u00e9e<\/strong> becomes the epicenter of European kayaking. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The concept is simple but formidable: bring the kayaking family together to explore the region’s most beautiful waterways. For four days, participants set off on mythical courses adapted to all levels (from class III to class V\/VI for the most adventurous) on the department’s most beautiful and renowned rivers: Durance, Guisane, Guil, Gyronde, Onde<\/strong>, etc. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
