The table tells an ancient story, that of the shepherds, farmers and families who drew simple, generous food from the mountains. These handed-down recipes, sometimes reinvented, are fragments of a living intangible heritage.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-title-1\">The mountain <strong>for a plate<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hautes-alpes.net\/en\/experiences-hautes-alpes\/terroir-and-gastronomy\/\">haut-alpin terroir<\/a> is a mosaic shaped by altitude and the seasons. These artisans of taste perpetuate tradition, while adapting it to today&#8217;s demands. In their workshops and on their farms, time is measured in seasons rather than seconds.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-columns has-2-columns are-vertically-aligned-center layout-5050\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-column\"><div class=\"wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-title-1\">Sharing <strong>and conviviality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>By the fireside, on the terrace of a refuge or at the large table of an inn, Alpine gastronomy is first and foremost a matter of conviviality.
